Landmark Senior Living was formed in 1985, by Clifford F. Boyle, as Simsbury Associates, Inc. The goal at that time was to answer the growing need for affordable, well-maintained housing. The need was met by acquiring previously neglected, historically significant, properties, which were then totally rehabilitated and reintroduced into the community.
Simsbury Associates has completed 37 historic renovations certified by the National Park Service and has construction and development experience across broad segments of commercial and residential real estate.
In the early 1990’s, it became apparent that there was a growing need for a huge segment of the population who were no longer able to live on their own, but were far too independent for a nursing home. The need was for residences where seniors could sustain or re-capture their independence.
The answer to this need was the birth of Landmark Senior Living Communities. Landmark Senior Living Communities currently owns and operates 5 communities and the corporate office is located in Scottsdale, AZ.
